We adopted Airy from Wags Rescue the week before Christmas last year. They were having an Open House at Horsham Veterinary Hospital on a Saturday night and we stopped in. It was so awesome to see the lobby filled with dogs waiting to be adopted and people wanting to adopt them. Airy was sitting in her crate quiet as a mouse looking around at everything. I took one look at her and and told my wife Leslie that she was the one. We brought her home that night and she was shy and quiet as a mouse. And two days later she got her voice back, lol. We decided that since she found her forever home that her name should be changed to "Lucky." It has been a challenge in that she was a stray and had no social skills with other dogs. But with a lot of help with friends she has become a lovable dog and a good citizen. And most of all we would not trade her for anything in the world. We can't say enough good things about all the volunteers that go to these shelters, to bring back these fine animals and then become their "Foster Homes" until they find their "Forever Homes."
